Master Todd visits Hillside

Master Tomas Todd from Midwest Tae Kwon Do visited Hillside’s second, third, and fourth grades this past Monday to talk about respect and focus. The students were very interested in what Master Todd had to say about the power of focus and the need for respect. Master Todd showed our Hillside Tigers some karate moves during his visit, and some students even came up during the presentation to try their hand at breaking a board! Some of our…

Honoring Veterans

Celebrating Grandfriends’ Day with a Storyteller

Hillside was excited to celebrate Grand-friends Day by welcoming storyteller Linda Gorham. She presented stories to students in grade 3-6 and then to students in grades K-2 (and their grand-friends too). Gorham’s brought folk tales to life as she had the students and grand-friends actively involved from reciting words to body motions. What a wonderful experience! Check out her website: http://lindagorham.com/
